The contest PROWED GLOBE AWARDS offers a financial prize 1300 € for 1st place, along with valuable material rewards. Winners will be featured in the book ANNUAL PROWED BOOK, highlighting their exceptional talent and positioning them among the best wedding photographers worldwide.
With the opportunity to compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, the contest PROWED GLOBE AWARDS is not just a contest — it’s a chance to be globally acknowledged as one of the best wedding photographers. Medals (Gold, Silver, or Bronze) are awarded to the highest-scoring photos based on the jury’s evaluation. The photographer with the highest-scoring photos will take home the grand prize and claim 1st place, while the second and third highest-scoring photos will secure 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

Rules & FAQ
Photo Upload Guidelines
- Photos taken at workshops or seminars are not allowed. Only photos captured during a real wedding day or a wedding portrait session with actual newlyweds are permitted.
- Please upload photos with a resolution of at least 1400 pixels on the shorter side. Smaller images are not accepted.
- Photos must be in JPEG format and saved at the highest possible quality (100%) to preserve details.
- The following are not allowed: layouts, collages, watermarks, copyright marks, logos, text, signatures and excessive use of Photoshop or AI in the photo.
- Only full-bleed photographs without borders are allowed.
- Any AI enhancements must be subtle, preserving the integrity and authenticity of the original capture.
- Excessive or obvious AI manipulations will lead to disqualification, as they compromise fairness.
- Photos containing pornographic, offensive, defamatory, or extremist content are not allowed.
- All photographs must be your original work and must not violate the rights of any third party. You must also obtain permission from any individuals featured in the submitted photos.
- The PROWED may use all submitted photos for marketing and promotional purposes. No monetary compensation will be provided.
- The photographs must not violate any applicable laws.
Who can participate?
Any professional wedding photographer, whether full-time, part-time or amateur.
How to participate?
First you need to register an Account here: Sign up. Once registered, you’ll be able to upload your photos to the contest in the PGA Dashboard section. Simply upload a photo, select a category, and pay a small fee. You can upload an unlimited number of photos and submit the same photo to a maximum of 2 categories. You don’t need to build a Portfolio.
How are the winners 1st, 2nd, 3rd place determined?
To ensure fairness and avoid any bias due to the number of submitted photos, only the top 20 highest-rated photos from each photographer are considered in the final calculation. The points from these 20 photos are added together, and the photographer with the highest total Score is awarded 1st place. This method ensures that the quality of the photos is the deciding factor rather than the sheer number of submissions. However, it’s important to note that submitting more photos increases your chances of winning, as each additional photo provides an opportunity to earn more points. So, while only the top 20 are counted towards the result, submitting a variety of high-quality photos gives you a better shot at securing one of the top spots.

It is considered that the author of a photo is the person who held the camera and pressed the shutter button. All photos must be your original work and must not violate the rights of any other party, and you must have obtained permission from any people featured in the submitted photos. The photographs must not violate any laws. By submitting a photo to the contest, you confirm that you are its author. The PROWED may use all submitted photos for marketing and promoting the PROWED, although there will not be any monetary compensation for the same.
How is the judging done?
In the contest, the jury assigns points to each submitted photo based on its quality. The authorship of the photos is hidden during the judging process, and the jury votes anonymously to ensure a fair and unbiased evaluation. After all photos are scored, only the highest-scoring entries are awarded Medals (Gold, Silver, Bronze) according to their final point totals. Judges evaluate each image based on composition, technical execution, lighting, storytelling, and originality to maintain a consistent and professional standard.
Is there a limit on the number of photos I can submit?
No, there is no limit on the number of photos you can submit to the contest. Feel free to upload as many photos as you wish!
Is there a restriction on the age of the photos submitted?
Please do not submit photos that are more than three years old or that have previously won a medal at the contest.
Can I make changes after my payment is complete?
No, once your fees is paid, changes to the photo or category are not possible. Please make sure everything is correct before completing the payment, as it’s technically not possible to make adjustments afterwards.
Can I submit a photo that has already received a Ribbon such as Photo of the Day, Week, Month, or Year?
Yes, you can submit a photo to the contest even if it has already been awarded a Ribbon like Photo of the Day, Week, Month, or even Year in your Portfolio.
Can I submit a medal-winning photo that I entered into the contest in the past?
No, you can’t submit again the same photo that has already won a Medal or has already participated in a previous contest.
Will I receive a prize for winning a Medal?
For each Medal, winners will be awarded an exclusive digital Certificate and Badge which will be displayed on their profile and will be visible to the public, but no monetary reward is included. Only the 1st place winner among the official winners will receive a financial prize, along with an exclusive trophy and special recognition. The 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive an exclusive trophy and special recognition.
How will I receive prizes if I place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd?
The cash prize will be awarded only to the 1st place winner and sent to your bank Account. Material prizes will be sent to your postal address. The cash prize is before tax, and the organizer will withhold and remit tax (19%).
