Born and based in Madeira Island, Portugal, I’ve been photographing weddings for more than 12 years, both at home and abroad. I originally studied Psychology, and I think that background still has a lot to do with the way I photograph people — paying attention, reading the room and trying to make people feel comfortable rather than turning the wedding into a photoshoot. My approach is mostly documentary, with an editorial eye and some direction when it helps. I’m interested in real moments, good light, interesting places and photographs that still feel like the people in them. Over the years my work has been recognised internationally, including the FEP European Wedding Golden Camera in 2021 and 2023 and a Top 5 finish at the World Photographic Cup in 2025.
